In the last couple of days we have given students usernames and passwords for Mathletics http://www.mathletics.com.au/ . Mathletics is used by more than 7000 schools and 3 million students worldwide. It offers students the chance to consolidate their understandings in an engaging and competitive (if they choose) manner. Students create an online identity where they can compete against other students from around the world. The only information shared is their first name and school. (e.g Tony S, Princes Hill Primary School, Australia). The school has paid for this program which can be accessed either at school or at home. The best way to understand how this website can be used is by asking your child to demonstrate the capabilities of this website with you.
Please note that this program is not designed to replace the teaching and learning program, but can support your child's learning.
